There is some misconception about Red and Black Oolongs.
I assume it is partly because some of the Black Oolong are have name such as Red Jade or Red Rhythm and can occasionally be a very beautiful deep red colouring approaching the red colour and leading some Some Taiwanese to describe there tea as "紅烏龍茶" translating as "Red Oolong Tea".
We capture this in our last visit of Taiwan (please scroll through our video library.)
The truth of the matter is that Red Tea is a specific Tea called Rooibos from South Africa and Oolong should be refered to as Black Oolong.
